“Ring the bells that still can ring. Forget your perfect offering. There is a crack, a crack in everything. That’s how the light gets in.” ~ Leonard Cohen
We are certainly ringing in some new and exciting times. In times of extremes, we are given the opportunity to examine what our triggers are, and how we will subsequently choose to behave. What sound or what vibration do we want to choose to ring? None of us are perfect. In fact, our imperfections are what allow us to strive to become better humans. The chaos of our cracks is the way to our awakening, of allowing the light in. Chaos and extremes are triggers for real and positive change. So this really is the best political atmosphere ever. For the first time in our lives, we are witnessing an awakening of the masses. People are getting personally involved. We are all being offered a choice. We’ve all recognized the obvious polarities of love and hate that exist here. And many of us are making a choice, not between two political parties, but a choice between choosing love or choosing hate. When I say this, I am not implying that our choice of party represents our choice in polarity. In fact, these choices are being made across both party lines. Everyone has their own perspective, their own story, from which they create their own reality, and it is from this reality which they live.
Let’s remember that it doesn’t matter which puppet is sitting in the oval office. The president is only a scapegoat, a representative; the one whose name goes on the paper…but who is really in charge here? We are. Each and every individual in this country is in charge of the thoughts and vibrations that we choose to put out into the world. We have a choice. How do we choose to behave in our own world? What type of energy are we allowing to radiate from ourselves? What is our contribution to this Whole that we are One with?
Gandhi said, “We but mirror the world. All the tendencies present in the outer world are to be found in the world of our body. If we could change ourselves, the tendencies in the world would also change.” If we want to see a change in the world, we must first be the change in the world. So, how can we be a change in the world? If we want to see peace in the world, we must radiate peace. If we want to see love in the world, we must radiate love. The energy that we radiate is sent out like transmission waves to everything and everyone around us. If something makes us angry and we allow that anger to perpetuate, we allow that energy to be sent out into the world. So, is that helpful? Is that what we want to choose to radiate? We don’t have to. The most beautiful thing about this existence is that we have the free will to make that choice. We choose, and each of us can choose love, peace, and compassion.
This is a holographic universe. We are microcosms within the macrocosm, the macrocosm within the microcosm. As above, so below. We are all sparks of Source. This energy exists within us and is us. We are all creators. We choose. We can elect ourselves to choose love in every moment.
Let us also remember, this is not a battle; it is not about choosing a side. Although it may seem like the ultimate battle between good and evil, in the bigger picture, there is no bad, there is no good. It’s is all just experience. It’s all Love, because love is all there is. Our focus needs to be upon unity, not separation. Is there anything in existence that is not a part of Source? We are all reflections, and reflectors. Our outside world is a reflection of our internal world. So if we want to see love in the world, we must first see the love within ourselves, and within each and every other human being on this planet. The more we can love ourselves the easier it is love others. Loving others isn’t always easy in times like these, but it is especially important. This is even more so for those with whom we disagree with, for they are our mirror. Make every attempt to find and see the love within them, remembering that they too are a reflection of Source. Maybe they can’t see that within themselves just yet. So have compassion for them, and forgive them because like Jesus said, “…they know not what they do.” Forgive them, love them, and be grateful to them for offering you an opportunity to choose the light. Then move on to a place of loving peace and unity with the whole. We cannot, no matter how hard we try, change someone else’s opinions. That is for them to do, in their own time, through their own experience. It is not our place to try and do it for them. The best thing we can all do is be that example of loving kindness and compassion, be the light.
Just like little children, we learn from example. So if we want to see a positive change in the world, we must be it, despite the illusion going on around us. The more we attach ourselves to the illusion, the less we remember our connection to Source. This is a time of ascension and awakening. We are energy beings, creating our own realities. What we think we believe. What we believe becomes our reality. We decide. We create our realities in our every thought. We can always remember to bring our focus back to love, forgiveness, and gratitude; back to the Whole. We decide what our vibration is and what we want to radiate out into the world. We are Love, we are One, we are all connected…Let’s all be that example, and we will all change the world!
Namaste everyone, the love and light within me recognizes the love and light within you…<3
